1. Who we are
FirstGen ("we", "us") operates firstgen-app.com and the FirstGen waitlist. We are building a community platform for first-generation Americans, launching in 2026. For privacy questions, contact us at firstgendatingapp@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist information. Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Contact messages. Your name, email and message content, when you write to us.
- Basic usage data. Standard technical information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
We do not collect government identifiers, immigration status details, or documentation of any kind, and we will never ask for them by email.
3. How we use it
- To send launch updates and early-access invitations you signed up for.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site performs and improve it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Email preferences
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email firstgendatingapp@gmail.com with "unsubscribe" and we will remove you from the waitlist promptly.
5. Cookies
The site uses only the minimum necessary for it to function and for aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
6. Data retention and security
Waitlist emails are kept until launch invitations are complete or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve them. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the data we hold, and we limit access to people who need it to do their jobs.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email firstgendatingapp@gmail.com — we honor these requests regardless of jurisdiction wherever we reasonably can.
8. Children
The waitlist and the site are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify the waitlist by email before the change takes effect.
