1. Agreement
By using firstgen-app.com or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. FirstGen ("we", "us") may update these terms as the product develops; the date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be flagged to the waitlist by email.
2. What FirstGen is (and is not yet)
FirstGen is an upcoming community platform for first-generation Americans, currently in pre-launch. The site today exists to describe the product and let you join the waitlist. Features described on the site reflect what we are building and may change before or after launch. Community features will carry their own guidelines when they go live.
3. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist requires a valid email address and costs nothing. A place on the waitlist is an expression of interest, not a guarantee of access, timing or features. You may leave the waitlist at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site or join the waitlist. The community product, when it launches, may set a higher minimum age.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or access it by automated means for scraping or bulk collection.
- Do not submit content through our forms that is unlawful, abusive or infringes others' rights.
- Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.
6. Intellectual property
The FirstGen name, logo, site design and content are our property or used with permission, and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our written consent, except for personal, non-commercial viewing of the site.
7. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FirstGen will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or waitlist. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site — which, pre-launch, is nothing.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
